4 of 5 First Prototype September 1, 2009

they reworked my computer and i have the only prototype on my 6 now. it makes a huuuggge difference, much better than the first one. after more driving i will report to them problems if any. the old one overheated so they reworked the whole thing and made me one from scratch...so far so good just wait for them to come out with the new one. well worth it.

5 of 5 unichip power April 7, 2009
Reviewer: jonb from san antonio, TX United States
When the install was finished and I took it on its first test drive I didn't feel to much gain hp or tq, that was at15/16 psi.  So I put it on map 2 or the more aggresive mode set the boost at19/20 psi and it felt really good. Don't have a awd dyno in SA though so can't tell you my actual hp/tq gains sorry but it feels more like 30hp/tq but this may be due to me being in tx you know hot in humid.  Overall I'm satified with unichip and would recommend it to anyone who has the money.

4 of 5 Good (not great) power for the money December 6, 2008
Reviewer: Anonymous Person from United States
I coupled this with the StreetUnit 2.25" top mount intercooler and AEM cold air intake.  Be warned, the electrical harnesses are very flimsy and can come apart during installation, mine did and I had to spend extra time putting them back together.  The instructions say to connect the ground tab to the clutch bolt, which is way too big, but you can connect it to the ECU mount screw.  Once functional, there was a noticeable power gain at 18 psi.  With this and the other mods, the "dead spot" at the top of the RPM range is eliminated.  On my normal route, driving as gently as possible, I was previously able to average as high as 36 mpg, never better, but since installing the Unichip I can get up to 39!  Make sure you use 93 octane, or else the factory ECU will pull timing and cut boost, canceling out the Unichip's effect.

The AWD system can definitely handle the extra power.  Even at 300whp, there is no hint of wheel slip or torque steer!
