Easy Installation is a very convenient
feature that the Unichip's simple Plug 'n' Play harness allows. The Unichip module comes with a
MAZDASPEED 6 specific wiring harness with
OEM. style connectors. Even if you have never made a modification to a vehicle, you can install a Unichip. It is no more challenging than hooking up a DVD player to your TV. Unichip
system comes with step-by-step instructions that are clear and easy to follow.
Brake Horsepower (BHP) is the measure of an engine's horsepower without
the power loss caused by the transmission, gearbox, differential, water
pump, and other auxiliary components such as alternator, power steering, and
AC compressor. Thus the prefix "brake" refers to where the power is
measured: at the engine's output shaft, as on an engine dynamometer. The
actual horsepower delivered to the driving wheels is less. An engine would
have to be retested to obtain a rating in another system. The term "brake"
refers to the original use of a band brake to measure torque during the test
(which is multiplied by the engine RPM and a scaling constant to give
horsepower).

Choose Your Map
We offer multiple calibration options for your MAZDASPEED 6. We can program the map
on your Unichip here before it leaves our facility. For future
modifications to your vehicle, the Unichip can easily be remapped. You
can send the Unichip unit back to us to be remapped or the vehicle can be
taken to a local Unichip Tuner to load a map which we can email them.
Airflow past the MAZDASPEED 6 mass air flow
sensor is crucial for a proper tune. The Intake systems are the
primary modification for different calibrations on the MS6. Choose your map
based upon the intake systems below.

Unichip Certified Custom Tuning
The Unichip offers the option to
get local custom tuning performed on your MAZDASPEED 6. The Certified
Custom Unichip
Tuner can tune your MS6 with Windows-based tuning software to maximize the performance
of your MS6 and modifications, creating the most power as possible. To
minimize faulty tuning and engine failures, the Unichip is only tunable by
certified tuners that are located across the country. The Unichip is
not tunable by the end user unless they have been certified by Unichip North
America.
