THERE IS A LOT OF TALK THAT THIS IS A WEAK INTAKE. IT IS NOT. I DID GET 1 CHECK ENGINE LIGHT, BUT IT WAS WHEN THERE WAS A MAJOR RAINSTORM, AND LIKE AN IDIOT, I DROVE THRU IT. I BOUGHT THE WATER REPELLANT PRE-FILTER FROM CPE, AND IT FIT PERFECTLY. NO MORE CHECK ENGINE LIGHTS, AND I HAVE DRIVEN THRU 3 HEAVY STORMS NOW WITH CONFIDENCE!!!! DON'T LISTEN TO THE "EXPERTS". SAVE YOUR MONEY, AND SPEND WHAT YOU SAVE ON SOMETHING ELSE FOR YOUR CAR!!! THIS INTAKE IS A STRONG PERFORMER.

Fujita CAI installation / performance |

My impressions of the Fujita was good. The weld quality was top notch and the mandrel bends on the 2.75" ONE piece intake pipe was very clean.
Installation was straightforward with included instructions with the exception of two items.
You have to detach the stock vent hose and cut off the one from the rear (valve cover side) vent hose connector and reuse it to attach the included rubber hose.
Second, was how far to slide the air filter onto the pipe. Sliding too far up will cause a loss of boost pressure. Best I could tell was the design of the Fujita air filter has a venturi cone to direct air flow into the pipe, but when it is too close to the end of the pipe, it restricts air flow.
There has been both an increase in acceleration that you can tell by the butt-dyno. You know its a turbo motor by the fact you can now hear the whoosh of the blow off valve when off throttle.
I recommend the Fujita for the best in cost value cold air intake for your Mazdaspeed 6.
