Great intake! November 9, 2008 Reviewer: Anonymous Person   The HKS suction intake is great for its sound and performance.  Easy installation.  Not a bad price.  Gives a great sound and can see good amounts in pick up. HKS Intake = Nice Product November 8, 2008 Reviewer: Anonymous Person from Wisconsin   Well-engineered parts, installed fairly easily, and offers gains both in terms of power and sound.  At this time, I cannot see any shortcomings except for its cost over the Cobb SF intake, which I would have bought instead except for its being out of stock. I can't be sure of the specific power gains, but the low- to mid-range feels stronger.  But I mostly bought it for the sound, and those gains are amazing.  The blow-off is no longer silenced by the restrictive stock airbox. Sounds and looks great! July 12, 2008 Reviewer: 1mpg from Gainesville, FL United States   When boost spools up, you can really hear this thing suck!  And I don't even want a blow-off valve anymroe cuz it sounds amazing with ths stock one!  Love how it looks in the engine.  The rubber tube it came with was a little long, have to sut it to make it not stick out so much. HKS Intake for MS3 April 29, 2008 Reviewer: Carl T from Dallas, TX United States   I kicked around intakes for a while, and opted for the HKS.  I have to thank the Streetunit guys for giving me good honest answers to questions!  All I can say is that this effer is awsome!!  This thing sucks air like a hippy on a bong!!  The sound is incredible, almost jet-like!!  This intake, combined with the cat-back, made my MS3 quite peppy.  Gains are DEFINITELY noticable, all the way thru.  I now go from zero to scary in the blink of an eye.   I was also impressed with the engineering HKS put into this intake.  The intake tube/pipe tapers from large at the filter, to narrow where it connects.  This increases velocity for greater gains (and jet engine sounds!) If you're on the fence about a CAI, snag one of these, you won't be disapointed!! Was this review helpful to you?

R-Suction Intake!!! April 28, 2008 Reviewer: Jason Gutierrez from San Antonio, TX United States   Simplicity, Quality Product, Price and Performance gains are factors which I look at before I purchase ANY aftermarket part. Aside from the removal of the retainer clips of the side hose on the intake, the install was very simple only took about 45min from the box.  I love the overall look of the Intake and HKS makes such great quality products with a history of performance gains. You can hear the suction POWER of this Intake around 2500 RPMs and from sensation only, this intake feels like it has more pull. The Intake really lets you hear the turbo spool and I did this install with a Forge BPV which added a BOV chirp sound. I will read every comment on a product before I decide to purchase that particular one. This Intake is also great for those who are under warranty (like myself) and don't want any problems from the stealership, I mean dealership. Satisfied with product overall. Would recommend to all who are debating between Intakes. This one is top choice overall for me. Was this review helpful to you?

Amazing intake... January 29, 2008 Reviewer: Jeff G from Greenville, SC   From opening the box to the first rev this intake blew me away. The design is great, looks awesome in the engine bay. This intake really lets you hear the air coming in. Power comes quickly at low RPMs and holds longer. The sound difference is impressive as well. This intake has a bov-like sound. Great addition to the MS3 and a great first mod. Installation is fairly smooth. The engine bay makes it difficult to get to some pieces, but HKS makes it easy to put their intake in. Awesome...Words cant describe it! September 18, 2007 Reviewer: Manny AKA(TRSpeed3, Soon Too Be A Speed3) from Miami, FL United States   I saw the HKS intake became available and called Cullen to order one. Received it the next day...Great Service and Fast Shipping, what more can I say. Any way on to the HKS Intake...The install was smooth and easy...The directions are striaght forward and have helpfull pictures...First driving impression was amazing...Now I truly have a turbo car!...You can hear the turbo spool and the stock BPV is very noticeable now...3K launches are full burn outs, 2nd peels out, and chirps 3rd as well..The power is instantenous when you mash the throttle and feels like it builds for a bit longer than before..Power seems to be tapering off around 5,900-6,000..I am in love with this intake and wouldn't change it for the world..If I had to buy this intake again I would..This is definetly a must for any Mazda Speed3 Was this review helpful to you?
