5 of 5 GT3071R is now liberated! March 8, 2017
Reviewer: Colby Smith from Seattle, WA United States
I live in Seattle, WA and travel over the I-90 Snoqualmie Pass a few times/month.  Going up the pass at 80 mph/5th gear/4,000 RPM is night and day compared to the stock TMIC.  The first time I went over the pass with the SU TMIC I couldn't believe how much more responsive the turbo became.  The car was ANGRY (in a very good way) and had gobs of power left on tap.  The stock unit would strangle the turbo at 4,500 RMP.  Not anymore.

One more thing:  If you get this TMIC and have a big turbo you should also get a valve cover breather.  It screws directly in place of the stock oil cap and has a check valve to prevent any vacuum from sucking crap into the engine.  The original engine hydrolocked and snapped #1 rod when a slug of oil was sucked in from the stock TMIC.  This breather prevents the oil from accumulating without a catch can.  Just my 2 cents.

5 of 5 Street Unit TMIC June 19, 2016
Reviewer: Luke Romin from Huntley, IL United States
Had it for a little over 2 years now. When i got it, i was worried about fitment issues i kept reading about. But i had no problems with that. Fit right in and hold down brackets lined up perfect with an Instant change of power. After being full bolt ons and tuned it had no problem putting down power and lots of torque. After e85 tune, it still held up no problems with great amount of flow. Peaked 24psi a few times on stock k04.

5 of 5 StreetUnit TMIC February 12, 2015
Reviewer: Jonathan Sacco from Burnaby, BC Canada
I was a little concerned when I ordered this TMIC as many people said they had fitment issues. Either I got lucky or they have fixed the fitment issues, the intercooler bolted up perfectly and aligned great with boost tubes (I do have aftermarket boost tubes which may have played a factor). I noticed great gains in power throughout all the revs. I am 100% satisfied with this product.

4 of 5 TMI February 20, 2014
Reviewer: Todd from APO, AE United States
Fitting seemed to be more hassle than it should of been.  Holes didn't quite line up as they should have (as stated by a previous reviewer), didn't quite like to seat up with the back boost tube, and the nut on the back bracket grinded on the intercooler the entire way down while tightening.  Issues tacked on about another 20 min to the install.  Other than that, my Butt Dyno was impressed upon taking it out for a joyride.  Noticeable gains outweighed a little fitment headache.  Well worth the money.

Easy as fit. Huge in size compared to standard. Flows so much more air and faster. Performance +++.

4 of 5 Good results, bad fitment December 10, 2013
Reviewer: JP from Seattle, WA United States
First, the negative and the reason I didn't give five stars.  The fitment was poor.  The bolt holes did not line up well; I had to loosen the back bracket and bang on it with a hammer to get the hole to line up just well enough to barely get the bolt in.  Overall, it took much longer than it should have and was very frustrating.  2.5 stars on installation.

The performance difference was worth it.  Turbo lag is reduced, and the power band definitely feels fatter, especially in the mid- to high-end.  Throttle response is even more ferocious and carries further in the upper RPMs, i.e. there's less tapering of power delivery.

Worth the money for sure, and probably worth the headache, but only because I was JUST able to make it work.

So much better than the factory TMIC. Keeps temps real low and the heat soak issue has much improved. Install was simple and fun. A must have part for the speed.

5 of 5 this seems better than my FMIC December 11, 2011

Title says it all. 2008 speed 3. I've had a TMIC and now i have a front mounted IC. For some reason even with cobb AP, on this car an upgraded TMIC is actualy better and a lot faster.

5 of 5 Good shit... March 16, 2011
Reviewer: AtTheDriveIn from Virginia Beach, VA United States
It's a great unit. Good fitment and install and removal is a cake walk. Keeps the boost air temps nice and low for a TMIC. I also gave me one more pound of boost. The only complaint I have is the rattling of the shroud against the unit at low RPMs. I was registering knock retard because of it. I sandwiched some vacuum hose between it and now it's gone...
