Front emblem: The factory one is held on with 5 clips (good luck no breaking a few). The blacked-out one they send you has no clips, it is just held in place with double sided (3M style) tape. But it seems to be working well to hold it on (still would have rather had it had clips) and has a perfect factory-like fit.
The rear symbol: factory one is a bitch to get off, and an even bigger bitch to clean off all the epoxy that held it in place. There are also 2 straight pins that hold the factory chrome one in place, but the black-outs have these weird tabs at the deepest part of the pins and I still haven't gotten the left one to go all the way in after much pushing and punching on it. However the same double sided sticky tape holds it in place well, and hopefully I'll get that left pin all the way in someday. You guys might wanna sand those tabs off before installation as they don't seem necessary. Over-all both are sized to exact to OEM and both front and back look sick!
