5 of 5 Lasted 10 Years! November 18, 2018
Reviewer: Paul from North Carolina
I bought this rear motor mount in 2008 shortly after purchasing my 2007 Speed3.  It was an immediate improvement over the stock motor mount and has lasted 10 years without any troubles.  Just recently I noticed some slight thunking coming from under the car when transitioning from reverse to 1st.  Suspicious it was the motor mount, I pulled it and found the upper bushing hole was slightly oval and this was further confirmed by the scuff pattern on top of the billet aluminum.  No worries, I'm ordering the 70 durometer bushings to replace the original 62 durometer bushings.  I'm very pleased with the performance of the mount, and I have no complaints at all after 10 years of use.  I hope to get another 10 with another set of bushings!

5 of 5 WOW! September 8, 2012
Reviewer: Justin Holst from Goddard, KS United States
Just installed, too easy by the way! Such a difference in driving characteristics! Shifts feel more firm, wheel hop is so small almost not noticable. As for the vibrations, there are some, but only from a dead stop low rpm 1st gear and idle with A/C on... on the highway, nothing! Would def recomend!

5 of 5 2 years later AND August 6, 2012
Reviewer: Sam Short from East Islip, NY United States
It still does the job. I bought this at first because i was having probs with my synchros and thought this might solve the problem. Before it came in, my prob got worse and eventually MazdaCorp just replaced 2nd gear synchro for me cause it was "defective" @ 400 miles :/ ... While they replaced that, a bunch of parts i ordered came in, including this motor mount. I asked Mazda if they'd be cool putting it in and they were happy to do it. They knew right away and recommended it too. Needless to say once i got my car back, the car vibrated alil more at a dead stop idle. Not a whole lot more but if u had like an empy soda can in ur cup holder, you'd hear it rattle now. I don't notice it anymore, cept cans ratteling. Shifiting is better than new and still 2 years later feels great. Replace my shifter bushings next since those are rubber and crappy like the stock RMM... This is a must buy!

5 of 5 What vibration July 30, 2012
Reviewer: toprock from Alexandria, VA United States
When I heard about this mount until the moment I ordered and received it, I was mentally preparing myself for the Vibration and Chatter everyone was talking about...As soon as I started my car after installation I asked..."What vibration?" I can barely feel if any vibration. Maybe that's because I didn't have my AC on...but I DID have my heater on...Anyways did a test drive and MAN 1st and 2nd are smooth like butta...did a couple hard launches...very little wheel hop now. If you like me hate the vibration(especially with A/C on) I recommend buying this product NOW during winter, so by the time Spring/Summer rolls in it will be broken in already...I feel very little if at all no vibration. Car runs smoother, I feel the power hitting the ground now. Definitely worth every dollar! BUY THIS NOW!!

5 of 5 No hop, better shifting and better handling July 21, 2012
Reviewer: Anonymous Person from Tamarac, FL United States
I bought this with the SU side mounts and it was the best investment ever. Small vibration with the AC on while the car is in idle but nothing exagerating. No wheel hop and i was able to feel the true power of this MS3. I recommend this and side mounts specially since the stock motor mounts are not that durable.

5 of 5 No more hop, better shifting March 12, 2012
Reviewer: GMAN from Walnut Creek, CA United States
Huge difference from stock. Stock mount just flops around under there compared to SU mount. Wheel hop is eliminated with this little jewel. Smoked em day one and it was so much better. Shifting is much crisper too. Vibration is there with the AC on for sure but it isn't too bad. The car is mean and raw already. This just makes meaner and rawer. A good performance mod for the $.

5 of 5 Best Way To Eliminate EXCESSIVE Torque Steer January 1, 2012
Reviewer: Morro Bay Speed 3 from Morro Bay, Ca.
The StreetUnit Rear Engine Mount is my 5th after market product that I've installed on my Speed 3.  By far, the StreetUnit Rear Engine Mount provides the best "Bang Fer Yer Buck".  For only $115.00 bucks, you will immediately notice that torque steer and wheel hop are drastically reduced, if not totally eliminated.  Other reviews indicate installation time of about 15 minutes, which is true.  I spent more time setting my Speed 3 on the jack stands than it took to install the rear motor mount.  It will help to have a breaker bar or torque wrench to loosen the three 19mm transmission bolts.  I tightened everything to 70 foot pounds. Hit up Youtube ("Installation of MazdaSpeed 3 Rear Motor Mount") which will help you see how it is done.  No need to jack up the engine/transmission like I was told.  Installation could not have been more simple.  OEM rear motor mount is a POS compared to the Street Unit mount.  Get it, install it, you will not be disappointed.

5 of 5 long term review October 25, 2011
Reviewer: turbo test from Riverside, CA United States
I've had this product since September of 2010 and have never looked back.

the mount has never given me any problems and the vibrations are truly minimal. i have the "street version" and it's so much better over the stock motor mount.

If your one of those people that read a lot of reviews before spending your hard earned money just know that it will not be wasted. you really cant pass up this mount, especially for the price (compared to others).

5 of 5 Must have! July 18, 2011
Reviewer: Jake Humphrey from Parma, OH United States
Even if your not looking to upgrade any components on your car, this thing does wonders. I can believe how much this mount has helped with shifting and the over all feel of the car. Get it!

5 of 5 Great addition January 3, 2011
Reviewer: Tony Pao from Gainesville, VA United States
I've been looking at this part on my desk for a few weeks and finally decided to install it this past weekend.  The install to about 15 min...so easy.  I wasn't sure if it would really notice any difference...I was wrong.  The car feels completely different.  A lot smoother, shifts smoother, and no "thud" from hard shifting.  I would recommend this to anyone with a Speed3.
