Heavy duty replacement engine mounts are manufactured with stiff urethane bushings encased in a gold zinc bracket. Helps stop drivetain lash when transitioning from gas on to gas off, also kills the dreaded "wheel hop" that you feel under an aggressive launch.   Must have for all Proteges.

Durometer Ratings (Stiffness)
The higher the rating, the harder the bushing.  70A durometer is the softest bushing which will cause the least amount of vibration.  70 Durometer bushings recommended for applications under 275hp.

The higher the durometer rating, the stiffer the bushing.  The stiffer the bushing, the more cabin vibration.  Higher horsepower will require stiffer bushings.

*Installation does not require the motor to be supported.

Install: Bolt-on, 20 minutes.
Comments: Nice, solid feel to the car and transfers power to the ground.

95 duro is a little too stiff December 7, 2006

This is a great unit. I got the 95 durometer, so it's a little bit past ridiculously stiff, but the vibration is really not that bad. It was annoying for the first couple of days, but then I got used to it. I also think that the front mount doesnt realize it's ful potential without the rear mount along with it. After the install, my wheelhop was cut down significantly, but it was not eliminated altogether. Installation is super easy as well. It took a wrench, a ratchet, and about 3 minutes to get it in.

A must have item December 7, 2006

This is a definite must have.  My stock motor mount was only beginning to show a signs of cracking (very small tear I noticed once I had it removed), but the amount of flex was a cause of concern.  The awr mount was easy to install and fixed the problem of the engine shifting hard with each gear change.  Quality is outstanding.
