SURE Sidewinder

Ignition Red
Application: Mazdaspeed 3, Mazdaspeed 6, CX7
Years: 2006-2011

The SURE Sidewinder™ replaces the stock turbo inlet pipe which connects the intake system to the turbo. The flexible, ribbed OEM plastic pipe creates unwanted turbulence and is susceptible to cracking. The Sidewinder™ creates a more efficient air flow rate, consistent boost, and a more responsive throttle for your Mazdaspeed driving experience.

Silicone
The SURE Sidewinder™ is constructed with high performance silicone that is reinforced with 3 layers of nylon and a core wrapped in steel wire. The silicone protects the intake air from engine bay heat.

Stainless Connectors
The connectors for the intake and recirculation ports are made of high quality, heavy wall stainless steel. The stainless steel resists corrosion and the heavy wall thickness allows for clamps to be tightened to a degree far exceeding what the stock turbo inlet or other similar products can handle.

Clamps
Every Sidewinder™ includes three (3) stainless steel SURE Stealth Clamps™ that feature an inner lining that protects the silicone from being damaged by the worm gear during tightening.

Design
The SURE Sidewinder™ has a tapered funnel design that minimizes turbulence at the turbocharger. The steel wire that wraps throughout the silicone body of the Sidewinder™ acts as a rib cage. The Sidewinder™ rib cage promotes rigidity and protects the silicone from collapsing. This rib cage design is very important to an efficient silicone turbo inlet.

5 of 5 A must have March 28, 2013
Reviewer: Simon Charette from St-Jerome, QC Canada
Seriously if you plan to go stage1 or stage2, you MUST have this inlet pipe! The sound is great and you feel a bit more power too... The install was a realy PITA for me... Some metal bracket was directly in the way I had to pry it down... But overall great product very good quality! You can hear that turbo spool up so much more with this it puts the smile on my face everytime

4 of 5 Smooth March 7, 2013

Looks and performs great! Very smooth draw of the turbo. However there is an annoying "barking" noise that happens when the BPV circulates between shifts. It's because it's a silicone inlet. Great product over all!

5 of 5 Solid product October 24, 2011
Reviewer: Edwin Liew from Edmonton, AB Canada
Had the aeros for some time before getting the inlet. The inlet is a solid piece that will last a lifetime. Spool happens quicker than with just the aeros. Haven't put much for mileage on it so can't comment for that.

5 of 5 Amazing November 19, 2010
Reviewer: joshua mullins from san antonio , TX United States
Great service, thanks Andrew. Andrew let me know what was the best bang for the buck, and he is RIGHT. I purchased the short ram and sidewinder at the same time with a stock 2007 and everything changed. The turbo spool is less the 3000 rpms, I can here the stock bov, the exhaust sounds deeper, sure hardware is professional looking, and I became emotional. Easy install with battery box removed, dampen tube for easier connectivity and great tight alignment. Fyi, when you tighten clamps between inlet tube and short ram pay attention so the clamps will not cut into the wiring harness. Amazing buy together! Heads defiantly turn now.
