Description   MazdaSPEED3 DashHawk Mount If you’re serious about what's going on with your car, you probably have a DashHawk laying around for realtime monitoring. More than likely it is sitting in an area that isn't in your line of sight and looks like and afterthought relative to the rest of the vehicle interior. cp-e™ is offering a solution to these problems with the release of our DashHawk mount.  Our mounting solution allows the customer to install their DashHawk over the driver’s side defrost vent without losing its fuctionality. The placement flows with the interior of the car and is in clear view allowing you to glance at quickly.  The cp-e™ mount also offers a quick release.  When you get out of your car, just remove the base plate and store your DashHawk out of sight. The cp-e™ DashHawk Mount is plastic injection molded, which offers several advantages over the alternatives on the market. This molded plastic is incredibly durable under extreme weather conditions. That means direct sunlight or bitter cold will not cause cracking or deformation over time. Good Idea... May 7, 2010 Reviewer: B. G. from Wichita Falls, TX United States   This mount is a great idea.  It puts the DashHawk in the perfect position for looking at while driving.  The supplied backplate that screws into the DH is a nice, solid-feeling piece. The actual mount is a different story.  The fit and finish is shabby.  The vent holes are uneven, the plastic feels cheap and doesn't match the dash color, texture or contour, and the supplied tape doesn't hold particularly well.  Finally, it's extremely difficult verging on impossible to remove the DH from the dash mount without pulling the whole thing up. Overall, for $35 I'd be pretty happy.  At $70, I expected more. Was this review helpful to you?
