This bar and plate intercooler produces significant HP (approx 16-22 with this kit) increase on a stock MAZDASPEED Protege.
Polishing option allows customers to save on polishing costs if they do not want the intercooler polished. Non polished intercoolers are high quality just not polished to a shiny finish. Photo is of a polished intercooler.
Seamless 2.25" Aluminum Hardpiping Kit
Our piping is of the highest quality aluminum and craftsmanship. Each kit includes 4-layer black silicone couplers and stainless steel T-bolt clamps.
The StreetUnit MAZDASPEED Protege hardpiping kit can be used with the side mount intercooler setup. Our kit is stock replacement and a bolt on installation. The stock bypass valve can reattach without any modification. The kit will work with the Injen, AEM, Perrin, and OEM Intake Systems. This kit is a perfect replacement for the expensive OEM plastic intercooler piping which is prone to cracking. Cracks in the OEM intercooler piping causes hesitation and decreases drivability.

Tig Welded Blow Off Valve (BOV) Flange can be added to the cold pipe for a single or dual valve setup.
Piping Finish is available in polished aluminum and metallic black powder coat. Custom color powder coating allow 5-7 days, please call to order.
A blow off valve can be used in tune with the stock bypass valve. If you are confused, call for clarification.
