Descent Improvement |

I would like to give this 3.5 stars but that wasn't an option. After using the new bushings for two weeks I have now decided that I like them. Good improvement over stock bushings. Don't expect anything magical, these simply make your shifter gates more precise - either you're in or out. However, the inherent play in the vague Mazdaspeed3 shifter is more pronounced because the shifter no longer moves and flexes to allow you to slide it into gear when you're not precisely in line with the gates. It will force you to become a more accurate shifter. Shifter does slide into gear better. For the money, I'm glad I bought them.

As you well know this mod isn't supposed to be the magic fix-all with your shifter. But if you're looking for a little better feel "banging" through gears, you definitely want to start here!!!
Did the install myself during my lunch break. No noticable difference during regular daily driving, BUT when you're driving hard and banging through gears it feels WAY MORE solid!!
So if you're a heavy foot driver, track racer, autocrosser, drag racer, etc... this is WORTH IT for such a low price.

A little trouble getting the center console out. Took about an hour and a half due to dropping a bolt that took a while to retreive. After install these are great. Throws through gears better and 3rd is almost impossible to miss now. WOT shifts are great now.. no missing gears

Was a bit nervous about ripping out my interior to do this install, but it was very easy and there is an improvement in shifting. Definitely worth the small amount of cash.

Awesome, the shifter feels less sloppy and much more direct.
Install:
The SU instructions were a bit vague but a bit of fiddling around solved that. All the panels are on pressure clips so I was afraid of pulling to hard, which led me to taking extra time.
