This actuator is designed to replace the stock Mazda OEM wastegate actuator on the Mazdaspeed Protege that is prone to failing and causing erratic boost pressure.

Manufactured from Billet aluminium, this Forge adjustable actuator is a two part assembly that will allow servicing and mainteinance. It also allows for rod adjustment to suit the customers individual application. This product is built with a predetermined actuator spring suitable for at or slightly above factory boost levels. The actuator can be assembled with a stiffer spring upon request. Please contact us directly concerning this process.

MSP: Solved my violent fuel cut issues	August 2, 2008

For ages, my Mazdaspeed Protege and I have been putting up with violent fuel cut issues at about 4200 rpm under hard accelleration (at lower rpms in cool/cold weather). Turns out I was getting crazy boost spikes due to a failing WGA - which would trigger the car to cut fuel in order to protect itself.
Now the car runs as good or better than it ever has - I can rocket up to redline without fear !
This WGA was less than half the price Mazda wanted for theirs - and the one that came out of my car looked like a cheap piece of junk. The Forge is a beautiful piece of quality engineering !
(but get a pro to install it)
