Standard Ford cast iron crankshaft as used in the Ranger. It offers lower weight and reduced inertia over the crankshafts used in other 2.3L derivatives of the Duratec engine. Used together with the Cosworth balance shaft delete kit it can replace the heavy crankshaft and balance shaft arrangement.
