Description   CPE XCel Cold Air Intake Application: CX-7   Custom Performance Engineering™, Inc., (CPE™) is proud to announce the release of its XCel Intake for the CX-7 ! The factory intake is great at one thing, suppressing horsepower and all the cool sounds that a turbo car makes! There is only one inlet on the CX-7 factory airbox. There is a substantial amount of horsepower to be made by replacing the intake. Turbo cars are very sensitive to temperature increases, therefore in testing CPE tried both a short ram intake and a cold air intake (CAI). After measuring temperatures throughout the intake track CPE determined that a CAI was in order. The XCel™ CX-7 intake is the first intake that will not set a check engine light (CEL). Great intake July 26, 2007 Reviewer: Adam Klyber from Chicago, IL United States   I installed this intake last night and I love that my CX-7 is sounding like a turbo now. You can really hear the turbo working and the air getting sucked in. This intake is very easy to bolt on and the directions are clear and precise. Great intake for the money. More Power, Great Turbo Sounds, Easy Install! July 15, 2007 Reviewer: David C. from Newbury Park, CA United States   Getting rid of all the OEM factory plastic intake system parts, and installing the CPE XCel CAI System is a sure-fire way to let your CX-7 breathe easier, generate lots of extra power, and let loose all the lovely sounds of the turbocharger at work! I installed the system about 2 weeks ago, and just love it. Sometimes I drive with my driver's window down, just to hear the impressive sounds of the turbocharger and intake system...it's groovy! Combine the XCel with the ETS 3" TMIC, new SU Boost Tubes, and the TurboSmart BOV for a radically impressive power/torque gain! Thanks, Cullen & Mike, as these things rock! CPE CAI for Mazda CX-7 June 7, 2007 Reviewer: Toby Walton from APO, AE United States   Just a quick note to say how impressed i am with the CAI.  I just put it on last nite and kept the radio off on the way 2 work 2day just so i could enjoy the sound of mass amounts of cool air being sucked in2 my engine!  my 100% recirculating stock BOV almost sounds like VTA!  Now my CX-7 actually SOUNDS like a turbo!
